The Civil Department of BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, headed by Mr. Ashish Desai, plays a pivotal role in ensuring uninterrupted hospital services through vigilant infrastructure management. The department functions with a proactive, follow-up–driven approach, addressing issues before they escalate and ensuring timely resolution of civil, structural, and utility-related concerns. Continuous monitoring, coordinated action, and accountability at every stage enable seamless functioning across hospital facilities. Under Mr. Desai’s leadership, the department remains committed to reliability, safety, and operational excellence, quietly supporting patient care and clinical efficiency every day.

Available Infrastructure:
The Civil Department is supported by a dedicated on-site workforce comprising 1 Mukadam, 2 Carpenters, 1 Plumber, and 4 Helpers. The departmental office is located on the ground floor of the college building, ensuring easy accessibility and rapid coordination. The team is responsible for civil maintenance across all hospital and college buildings, including dedicated hospital blocks.

The Civil Department has successfully ensured uninterrupted functioning of hospital and college infrastructure through timely repairs, proactive maintenance, and effective follow-up mechanisms.
