Dr Rahul Chakor

Dr. Rahul Chakor joined the department as Lecturer in 2004 and was appointed Incharge and subsequently Professor and Head in 2008. The department has achieved several laurels under his leadership. It is at the forefront in service, research and training. The department is now relocated to OPD building 3^rd floor. The new EEG, EMG machines, Electrophysiology services and clinical research area are at this location.

 

The department is a site for international drug trials in Multiple Sclerosis and Migraine. There are several publications and presentations to the credit of department.

 

The Neurology OPD and the new Disability OPD are located in this building. The Neurology OPDs are overcrowded with over 15000 patient visits each year.

 

A structured teaching schedule is followed for DM training. Regular ward rounds, bedside teaching, case presentations and journal reading is conducted.

 

Regular CMEs are conducted. A well-attended Stroke and Neuro-ophthal CME was conducted in 2019 - 2020.
